The paddle steamer 'Dragon' is in starboard-quarter view beyond her bow. To the right is a French paddle steamer, in starboard-quarter view, flying the flag of Vice-Admiral Penaud. Beyond, is also the paddle steamer 'Merlin' in starboard-quarter view, with Rear-Admiral Dundas on board.
