Rhodobacteraceae

The Rhodobacteraceae are a family of Pseudomonadota in the order Rhodobacterales within the alpha subgroup.[1] Like all Pseudomonadota, they are gram-negative. It contains chemoorganotrophs and photoheterotrophs bacteria. Many occur in aquatic habitats.

The following genera have been published, but not validated according to the Bacteriological Code:[3]

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature[3] and the phylogeny is based on whole-genome sequences.[4][a]
