Zee English был запущен на Индийском субконтиненте 15 марта 2000 года как конкуренция Star World . Первоначально канал был бесплатным, но позже был зашифрован как часть пакета платного телевидения Zee. [1]

28 марта 2005 года канал прошел ребрендинг и был переименован в Zee Cáfe вместе с новым логотипом и предложениями по продвижению. [2]
