Республика Конго избирает на национальном уровне в главу государства - на президента - и законодательный орган . Президент избирается народом. Парламент ( Parlement ) имеет две камеры . Национальное Собрание ( Национальное собрание ) имеет 153 членов сроком на пять лет в одномандатных округах . Сенат ( Сенатской ) имеет 66 членов, избираемых на срок по районам, местных и региональных советов в шесть лет. Республика Конго является однопартийным государством с преобладанием Конголезской лейбористской партии.в силе. Оппозиционные партии разрешены, но многие считают, что у них нет реальных шансов на захват власти.
Выборы регулируются Законом о выборах Конго , последний раз измененным в 2016 году.
