Poropuntius - это род карповых рыб, обитающих в основном в пресноводных местообитаниях Юго-Восточной Азии и Юньнани в Китае , но P. burtoni происходит из Южной Азии . [1] Некоторые виды имеют очень ограниченные ареалы и находятся под угрозой исчезновения , и единственный P. speleops является пещерной рыбой . [2]
