I am working on an article about Tragic Week in 1919 Argentina, which included a pogrom against the Jewish population. I propose renaming the two articles as above, and making this a disambig page. Any objections? --Goodoldpolonius2 03:41, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I am looking up info on the 1919 Argentina incident where according to my tour book "many lives were lost". Is there a separate article on this yet? Does anyone know the extent of this incident? This article might help-anyone speak spanish? http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semana_Tr%C3%A1gica_%28Argentina%29 Jd147703 20:04, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I propose "Tragic Week (Barcelona 1909)". This was a mainly local riot, and a landmark in the history of the city, more than in the spanish history (unfortunately, other tragic weeks could be considered...). --Joan sense nick 09:08, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This is classified as a pogrom in the Pogrom article. I added it to Category:Pogrom, but it was promptly removed by someone who said it wasn't a pogrom. So, was it a pogrom or not? Read Pogrom for more details. - Gilgamesh 14:17, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This article is about the Tragic week in Barcelona, in 1909. This was not a pogrom against "a particular group; ethnic, religious or other"... "used to denote massive acts of violence, either spontaneous or premeditated, against Jews"... or " against other, mostly minority, groups". This was a riot of workers, leaded by anarchists, against the Military forces and the Catholic Curch. Not against "minority groups". I think you refer to another "tragic week" in Argentina, in 1919. --Joan sense nick 00:17, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]
