Поправка, основной источник - не эссе, это докторская диссертация Чилийского университета . Диссертация хорошо написана и по сути представляет собой исследование темы полигамии мапуче. Not really, the second source appears to say that it is the most significant incident of opposition to Jewish land purchases during that era but the claim in the hook does not follow from that. Anyway, I think a better hook would focus on the purchases themselves as opposed to the reaction to them. It looks like Al-Fula incident is a notable topic that could have its own article. If the sources had used another descriptor, would they even be in the article? It might be stronger if it more closely defined its subject and went into more depth about it. Thank you, but it wasn't necessary to lay it out quite like that. I was just hoping for a better definition of how a cookhouse differs from those. I removed some of the material in the article that strays too far from the topic and only seems to be there because it uses the word cookhouse rather than, say, kitchen or restaurant etc. Can you expand the article please, concentrating on the communal preparation and consumption of food at remote work sites, particularly in the lumber and resource-extraction industries as that seems to be the core of it. • This is not a full review, just a comment, but I'm not sure this is ready to go. While an "expand" tag is fine, the "rewrite" tag is considered enough of a danger sign to generally stop an article from appearing on the front page at all. I realize you stuck it there yourself, but please resolve the issue. Additionally, I think the article has some mixed focus. The article should, in my opinion, specifically be on the industry side - corporations, factories, construction, that kind of thing, yet there's some parts that just seem to recap what ISRO has done. I realize that ISRO contracts are probably very closely tied to this, but I'd be careful about drawing a line to avoid repetition or unclear focus. Finally, I think the hook can use some work - what does launching a satellite "for" a country even mean? Were these contracts with national governments other than India? Or just any business involving entities from outside India? Did these launches use homegrown tech, or were these pre-assembled gear from elsewhere that just happened to be launched in India because it's at the right latitude? Sorry about the delay - your ping didn't seem to work, and as noted before, the above was just a comment, not a full review. That said, if you'd like me to do the review, sure, I can, but the original problem I brought up remains that the hook isn't very good, in my opinion. "Number of countries" is just not a useful metric here, it's very press release hypey, at least not without further clarification. The companies involved in producing an iPhone stretch through many countries; it's not a big deal. Are there any alternate hooks? Or are there any better sources than that Times of India article that actually clarify, in detail, what is actually being measured by this "for 33 countries"? Overall: Article was recently promoted to GA. Overall article sourcing, neutrality, and plagiarism is assumed to have been covered during the GAN. The picture is acceptable, but most people know what Eisenhower looks like, so I'm not sure it adds much. My main concerns are about phrasing and interestingness.

Regarding phrasing, "polemics" is uncommon, anachronistic language that also mirrors the source a little uncomfortably closely, so I'd suggest a different word choice. The meaning of "broad front versus narrow front" also might be a bit unclear to or require a bit of inference from non-expert readers, so if you can think of a way to concisely explain it, that might be good (if not, it's alright enough).

Regarding interestingness, it's not bad (and my standards are stricter than most DYK reviewers), but I'd be curious to hear if you have any ALTs. You seemed to begin an ALT1 but didn't fill it out. {{u|Sdkb}} ^talk 05:44, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

The original hook doesn't read right because a decision is not a controversy. Ike's decision was to stick to a broad front. The controversy was the debate before and after. Ruppenthal's quote expresses this more accurately: "Of all decisions made at the level of the Supreme Allied Commander in western Europe during World War II, perhaps none has excited more polemics than that which raised the 'one-thrust-broad front' controversy." Squeezing all this into a hook seems challenging, so let's try some controversial ALTs:

• Thanks for this interesting article CeeGee. The article is new enough, long enough and within policy. The hook is interesting. There appear to be some minor issues, however. It might be splitting hairs, but the original sources (I am a native speaker of Turkish) do not say that the traces of the cannon carriages are visible from the satellite images. The Ministry website says that these and the trenches are still visible (presumably on the ground), and the Milliyet article states that the trenches are identifiable from the satellite images (but no mention of the cannon carriages). That needs to be sorted out - it would probably be fine to remove any mention of the satellite images here. Furthermore, I don't really think that "cannon carriages" is an accurate translation of "top yolları". Whilst I am no expert in military terminology, I think "top yolu" is better translated as a "cannon track", as "cannon carriages" would be understood to mean these, whereas this clearly talks about the tracks that were used to move these. So that probably needs editing. Finally, it might be a good idea to switch the trenches and the traces of cannons around - it is the trenches that are preserved as they are, not their traces. --GGT (talk) 16:36, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

• What a lovely burst of nostalgia – I recall this machine from my younger years. The article is new, just long enough, and free from prose issues. (I would, however, add a link to wikt:excogitation to explain the contraption's name.) The hook is within guidelines, but not very punchy. I would recommend focusing solely on the number of moving/auditory components, or perhaps on its use of obscure duckpin bowling balls.

Side note: As a recent artwork, the images are a complex copyright situation. Because it was created in the 1978–89 time frame, either a copyright notice (such as on the explanatory plaque) or a formal registration would place the artwork (and, because the US has no freedom of panorama for artworks, the photos as well) under copyright. The image is really eye-catching, but looking at Commons it appears the current version in use is not as detailed as the original version – while the current one has much greater contrast and is arguably stands out more, there is definitely more detail in the previous version. Should the purpose of the image's inclusion match the "hook" vibe of DYK (in which case I think the current picture is best), or should it be a faithful reproduction (in which case I think the original is more appropriate)? Yes I would much rather prefer a more faithful reproduction of the painting than one that stands out more. I checked the official page of the painting on the Philadelphia Museum of Art's website, and their image of the painting seems to be the original version you linked above. The first says nothing to people who don't know what Psalm 50 and Watts refer to. The second is my idea, but I don't like "allegedly", and would mention "Dolly", as the name is part of the dedication. What is an outdoors carol? It can be understood as that Zalgo text is made by "combining several letters". It should be made clear that there are so-called combining characters which are intended to combine with the letter that comes immediately before them and that is how Zalgo text is made. My attempt at clarification is even more unclear than your original version, but I hope you will be able to come up with something better.
