Lo was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[1] He received his education at Queen's University in Canada.[1]
Lo joined his family business R.E. Lee International, founded in 1954.[2][non-primary source needed]
In July 2023, an investigation by Forbes alleged that Lo had been trying to fake his purported wealth. In their investigation, claims of his association with Dorilton Capital and Williams were debunked as those groups had "no clue who he was".[1]
