Cyclanorbis

Cyclanorbis is a genus of softshell turtles in the family Trionychidae. The genus is endemic to Africa.

In the genus Cyclanorbis the plastron has cutaneous flaps, under which the hind legs can be concealed.[3]

One extinct species is also known from fossil remains: Cyclanorbis turkanensis Meylan et al. 1990, from the Pliocene of Kenya.[4]

Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Cyclanorbis.
