This template adds article, category, template and other namespace talk pages to Category:WikiProject The Beatles articles. It is also used to track article classifications and to present readers with a current "to-do list".

Usage

Note: This template should be transcluded as {{WikiProject The Beatles}} and not substituted (subst.) because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows easy updating of all the Project's talk pages without having to edit hundreds of pages.

A simple way to use the template is to copy the following onto the talk page, then optionally remove the unnecessary lines. If any further help is needed, please ask at WT:TB or ask User:Kingboyk or User:Lar.

Basic syntax

For main space articles which have not yet been assessed, simply use {{WikiProject The Beatles}}. This default places the article in Category:Unassessed The Beatles articles and Category:Unknown-importance The Beatles articles, and doesn't change the wording of the template in any way.

Full syntax

Paul McCartney is a good article, so |class=GA, and is of top importance - so |importance=Top. He has something to do with Apple Corps, so |apple=yes. Obviously, |paul=yes. And, of course, he is also related to The Beatles in some way, so |also-beatles=yes. He is a musician, so |musician=yes. He is of top importance as a biography, so |bio-importance=Top. |listas= acts similarly to {{DEFAULTSORT}} for all categories in (or below) this template.

Notes

"McCartney" is correct for |listas= per WP:MCSTJR.
